When In Rome
About 2 years ago now, me and my boyfriend flew off to Rome for the week (which happened to include Valentines day) and I never really got to document it. Here are some of my favourite snaps.

My Year So Far
Hi everyone!
I thought I would blog about the things that have happened so far this year, since there has been a tonne of things - frankly, it's been hard to keep up. The new year started with a new job, a dream job really - an opportunity of a lifetime working for an online pet shop. Since my degree is all about the new digital age, it really has fit in perfectly. Amongst this, I started driving this year... something that I have been waiting VERY long time for, since I lived in a small village with no bus or train it was very difficult for me to get anywhere without a lift. I have also moved into my own flat (as you know from previous posts) which has been quite an adventure I must say.
How would I have coped with all these amazing (yet slightly overwhelming) events without friends and family, the simple answer is I wouldn't have. They have supported me every step of the way, and for that I am very grateful. I look forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings me (hopefully a cat, or even better a dog...or both)

Thinking about design
Thinking about design is something I do a lot. Not only because I find it fascinating, but because I'm doing a degree in it. So far I have designed my own T-Shirt, an invention to stop milk bottles from leaking in the fridge, a game board relating to my own life and most recently thinking about design issues with the way we travel. Doing the degree has opened up my eyes to the world around me. If I sit on a chair that isn't quite right, instead of moaning about it (like a fair few people would) I think 'What could potentially fix this problem?'
This unique way of thinking (that hopefully will develop over the years) is the reason why we have all the luxuries you see around you. Just one person every now and again will think of something incredible, and then *poof* we can all benefit from that. All it takes is one great idea, just every now and then. Personally, I think the best design ideas are the ones which make the world better. (No, not the iPad). More like sustainable cars, more efficient recycling methods, filtering systems for polluted rivers... design thinking like this, in my eyes - will make the world a much better place.

New Blog Beginnings
Hi Folks!
So this is my first post, on my first blog - scary stuff. I've wanted my own blog where I can share my thoughts and ideas to anyone who fancies a read for a while now. It's only recently that I've pushed myself to just GO AHEAD AND DO IT ALREADY...so I did. There are a few reasons why I wanted to start blogging, the first is that I enjoy reading others blogs. They are full of depth and insight into that particular person's brain, and I find that fascinating. The second is, I love writing down random things - which I don't think I do enough...so many thoughts, not enough paper to write them on...but on a blog there is no word limit, I can waffle on until my heart is content.

There are many things around me which are beautiful and have their own unique story. I want to start taking pictures of these things, so I will - expect to see many random photos of random things in future posts. My life has just taken a quick, unexpected yet breathtakingly exciting turn - I have moved out of my parents house and into my very own with my boyfriend at the young age of 19. A scary thought for a young lady of my age, but a thought worth having to push for independence.
It's a new chapter for me, a new home, a new lease of life and more on topic a new BLOG...
